From my experience and what probably happened to people with SA and SAD, this is what you shouldn't say to people with Social Anxiety and Social Anxiety Disorder.

1. "SAD isn't a real disorder"
It is a disorder. SAD is more than shyness. It affects the person's daily life.

2. Anything that involves yelling
If you raise your voice alittle bit, even to make a point, we'll get scared.

3. "Just do it!"
If it were that easy, don't you think we would do that thing already?

4. "Let it go"
I don't know if anyone said this to someone with anxiety, but my guidance counselor said that to me. That doesn't help! It's not easy to let things go.

5. "Get over it"
This is another thing I hate. Especially when your being harsh. If it were that easy to "get over it", do you think we would have SA or SAD?

6. "You never talk"
This makes us feel bad for not being as socially confident as we would like to be

7. "You need to smile more"
One of my "friends" irl said that to me a couple of times and it annoyed me. Saying this only does more harm than good and makes us feel singled out. And me, I just don't like showing my emotions
I'm still thinking about taking a break, but I was reading my list of what not to say to someone having a panic attack and wanted to make this. If there's more stuff I should add, let me know ^^

I'm not sure if this is in the right category ^^;
